OUR MISSION

At the Social Neuroscience Lab we pursue a three-fold purpose:

1. Investigate the neural, physiological and behavioural mechanisms of social interaction — including when humans engage with technologies such as robots, virtual agents and AI systems.

2. Integrate methods, disciplines and systems — merging emotion science, psychophysiology (e.g., EMG, EEG), robotics/AI, human-computer interaction and real-world social contexts.

3. Illuminate the implications of science and technology for individuals, groups and society — influencing design, policy and public discourse in the age of intelligent machines.
